Discover four inspiring artists at Llanwrtyd\u2019s Heritage & Arts Centre<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

THROUGHOUT AUGUST<\/h4>\n

Following the success of July&#39;s exhibition, Llanwrtyd Heritage & Arts Centre welcomes visitors to another diverse and inspiring showcase of Welsh artistic talent throughout August.<\/p>\n

Local printmaker Paul Rickard<\/strong> continues his show throughout August but is joined by three
new artists \u2013 Anita Woods<\/strong>, Jacky John<\/strong> of Carmel Pottery and Jeni Pain<\/strong> \u2013 bringing together painting, ceramics and mixed media in a colourful and engaging exhibition.<\/p>\n

Professional mixed media artist Anita Woods<\/strong>, an elected member of the Royal Watercolour Society of Wales, presents expressive figurative and animal paintings created primarily in watercolour. Drawing inspiration from Celtic myths and legends, together with the music that fills her studio while she works, Anita’s paintings combine technical skill with imagination and storytelling. Her work has been recognised nationally, having twice been selected for the prestigious Wales Contemporary exhibition.<\/p>\n

Ceramic artist Jacky John<\/strong>, of Carmel Pottery, creates beautiful handcrafted stoneware from her studio in rural Wales. Every piece is individually thrown and fired using traditional gas reduction techniques, producing her distinctive purple glazes and ensuring that no two creations are ever identical. More recently, Jacky has developed glazes using ash from a fallen tree, creating stunning natural greens that reflect the Welsh landscape that inspires her work. Designed to be both beautiful and practical, her ceramics are made to become part of everyday family life while celebrating the craftsmanship behind every piece.<\/p>\n

Completing the exhibition is the delightfully original work of Jeni Pain<\/strong>, whose cheerful creations combine ceramics with driftwood, beach finds, vintage treasures, repurposed fabrics and scavenged wire. Working from her studio \u2018in a shed by a stream\u2019 in West Wales, Jeni transforms everyday and found objects into quirky works of art full of character, humour and charm. Her love of the coastline is reflected not only in the materials she gathers but also in her commitment to caring for the environment, never leaving the beach without collecting litter alongside her treasures.<\/p>\n

Together, these four artists offer visitors an exhibition full of imagination, craftsmanship and individuality. Whether your interests lie in fine art, ceramics or unique mixed-media creations, there is something to surprise and delight.<\/p>\n

Admission to the gallery is free.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Llanwrtyd Heritage & Arts Centre is open Thursday to Sunday, 10am until 4pm, and everyone is warmly invited to come along and enjoy another outstanding exhibition by talented Welsh artists.<\/p>\n\n\n
